Abstract

This document describes how to download and assemble WebSphere Integration Developer V7.0.0 Fix Pack 1 (7.0.0.1) for Microsoft Windows platforms.

WebSphere Integration Developer V7.0.0 Fix Pack 1 (7.0.0.1) contains updates for the following:
  • Activity editor
  • Adapters
  • Business process editor
  • Business vocabulary editor
  • Comparing and merging
  • Documentation
  • Human task editor
  • Interface editor
  • Integration test client
  • Mediation flow editor
  • Migration
  • Module deployment editor
  • Patterns
  • XML mapping editor

Note: WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus have enabled a new business object runtime framework as a Technology Preview in the 7.0.0.1 Fix Pack.

The business object runtime framework provided in all the previous Version 6.x releases continues to be the default in Version 7 and remains the business object runtime framework for production use. After applying the 7.0.0.1 Fix Pack, the new business object runtime framework for version 7 is also available.

While available to all users of 7.0.0.1, current usage of the version 7 business object runtime framework is designed for and should only be used by early adopters and for development usage only.

IBM provides the version 7 business object runtime framework technology preview "as is" and does not include IBM support as specified in the version 7 WPS/WESB license agreement under the terms for Technology Preview Code.

  • Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition
  • Windows Vista Business Edition
  • Windows Vista Enterprise Edition
  • Windows XP Professional SP1 and SP2
  • Windows XP Professional x64 SP2 (in 32-bit mode)

Prerequisites

Prior to applying this fix pack, you must have WebSphere Integration Developer 7.0 installed. Also, ensure that you have the latest version of the IBM Installation Manager.

Installation Instructions

It is recommended that you install the fix pack directly from the IBM update server; however, it is also available for download. You might want to download and install the fix pack in the following situations:

  • You have a slow or unstable Internet connection and want to use a download manager that can resume the download.

  • You have difficulty accessing the live IBM update servers from behind a firewall.

  • You prefer to download the fix pack and install it later.

If you choose to download the fix, then perform the following steps:
  1. Download the Fix Pack 1 file (from the HTTP link below).

  2. Extract the fix pack to a temporary directory, such as C:\temp\.

  3. For installation instructions, navigate to C:\temp\ and open local_installation.html or click on the link below.
