Known Issues

Issue: If WebSphere Integration Developer (WID) V7.0.0.5 is installed simultaneously with V7, or if WID V7.0.0.5 is upgraded directly from V7.0.0.3 or prior V7.0.0.x release, then a configuration error occurs when WID V7.0.0.5 is launched. For more details, see technote #1598651.

Solution: Solutions are:
  • Upgrade to WID V7.0.0.4 or V7.0.0.4 Interim Fix 001 first prior to installing or updating to WID V7.0.0.5,
  • For the upgrade problem, another workaround is in the file "<WID_Install>/Configuration/config.ini", specify the value "-Dorg.eclipse.update.reconcile=true" at the end of the file. then re-launch WID V7.0.0.5.

Issue: WebSphere Integration Developer (WID) V7.0.0.4 users with non-English language installed and shell-sharing with Rational Application Developer (RAD) V7.5.5.4 might encounter error from Installation Manager when upgrading to WID V7.0.0.5. For more details, see technote #1597047.

Solution: There are two solutions:
  • Upgrade to RAD V7.5.5.5 first before upgrading WID V7.0.0.5.
  • Simultaneously upgrade to RAD V7.5.5.5 and WID V7.0.0.5 .

Issue: When updating WebSphere Integration Developer V7.0.0.x to V7.0.0.3 or higher fix pack or iFix level, on Installation Manager's "Update Packages" menu, after a version is selected, if user clicks "Back", then click "Next" again, then Installation Manager will emit an error saying "Failed to load bundle com.ibm.bpm.ies.ifix.prereq". For more details, see technote #1598756.

Solution: Click "Cancel" and re-do the selection again.

Issue: On Linux system, rolling back to WID V7.0 might throw an "out-of-memory" error from Installation Manager . For more details, see FAQ #1594887.

Solution: Follow to instruction to expand the heap size for Installation Manager.

Issue: After the un-installation of WebSphere Test Environment (WTE) V7.0.0.x, the user might observe a "Fail-to-delete" warning from the Installation Manager installation log. For more details, see technote #1595014.

Solution: The warning stated in the technote can be ignored by user.
