Abstract

The interim fix XC7004x is an update to the WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus lazy parsing mode in version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 4 and later.

The interim fix XC7004x updates the business object lazy parsing mode in WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 4 and later.

The links in the download section link to the download packages for Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 4 and later on the following platforms:

  • AIX (32 and 64-bit)
  • HP-UX on IA64
  • HP-UX on PA-RISC
  • Linux on iSeries and pSeries (32 and 64-bit)
  • Linux on x86 (32 and 64-bit)
  • Linux on zSeries (31 and 64-bit)

Prerequisites

This interim fix can only be installed on top of WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus or WebSphere Process Server version 7.0.0.4

This fix pack is installed using the IBM Installation Manager.

Installation Instructions


You can install the interim fix repository using the IBM Installation Manager.

1. Download the composite repository from Fix Central:

  1. Download and save the 7.0.0.4-WS-WBI-IFIC7004x_repository.zip repository file from Fix Central using the Download Package links below.

  2. Extract the compressed file (.zip) to a local directory, for example c:\temp.

  3. Launch the IBM Installation Manager and click File > Preferences.

  4. Click Add Repository, and browse the file system for the repository.config file, which will be in the location to which you extracted the zip file. For example:
    c:\temp\7.0.0.4-WS-WBI-IFIC7004x_repository\repository.config

  5. Click Open, then OK. This repository.config file will then be listed as a location in the repositories view.

  6. Ensure that the check box is selected.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Within the main Installation Manager window, click Update. The Installation Manager will search the locations to show the Update Packages view.

  9. In the Update Packages view, select the installation you need to update and click Next.
    You will be presented with the option to update your Feature Packs for SCA and XML.

  10. Clear the selections for the Feature Packs for SCA and XML and also clear the Show recommended only check box.

  11. Select the Only fixes for version 1.0.1.7 check box for the Feature Pack for SCA and the Only fixes for the version 1.0.0.7 check box for the Feature Pack for XML.

  12. Click Next. You will be presented with fixes for both feature packs.

  13. Clear the Show recommended only check box and select only the following entries:
    • 1.0.1.7-WS-WASSCA-IFPM25391 1.0.1007.20100818_1634
    • 1.0.0.7-WS-WASXML-IFPM24730
    • 1.0.0.7-WS-WASXML-IFPM24840
    • 1.0.0.7-WS-WASXML-IFPM26729 1.0.7.20100902_1609

  14. Click Update on the Summary page to install these interim fixes.
