Problem(Abstract)
When Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server (TEPS) is configured to use Derby database, the configuration might take a long time when a large amount of application support is installed.
Symptom
Configuration operations that involve TEPS seeding might take a long time to complete on Unix platform.
Cause
TEPS database access is executing excessive amounts of garbage collection operations.
Resolving the problem
The configuration time can be reduced by modify the following variable value in
<ITMHOME>/<platform>/cq/bin/lnxnocmsenv
and
<ITMHOME>/<platform>/cq/original/lnxnocmsenv
files before starting configuration process.
