Abstract
This book introduces you to the XL C compiler. It describes the various compiler invocations, ways to customize the compilation environment, and how to control the compilation process. This book also provides a brief introduction to optimizing the performance of your applications to take advantage of the multi-layered architecture of the PowerPC processor.
