Abstract
You want to know what the recommended maintenance level is for users of IBM CL/SUPERSESSION.

Preventive maintenance
Starting with z/OS V1.8, in order to support 4 byte console ID’s you will need to apply APAR OA21938 PTF UA37852. However, if you do not already have it, UA41335 is recommended for CL/SUPERSESSION which PREs/REQs all the IBM levelset maintenance and properly updates the maintenance eye-catcher displayed at startup

Current maintenance
The current recommended maintenance level is V1470823; this level is available with SYSMOD UA41335. This maintenance includes support for z/OS V1.2, z/OS V1.3, z/OS V1.4, z/OS V1.5, z/OS V1.6, z/OS V1.7, z/OS V1.8 and z/OS V1.9. Additionally, for Z/OS 1.10 you will need APAR OA26173 (PTF UA45285).

Other recommendations
It is also important to have all the available TELNET and TCP/IP maintenance applied. Refer to information APAR II13135 for recommendations.
