Problem
When using the WebSphere Information Integrator Content Edition wrapper, WebSphere Information Integrator and WebSphere Information Integrator Content Edition can be installed on the same server or on different servers. For the wrapper to function properly, the required WebSphere Information Integrator Content Edition Java Archive (JAR) files as well as the application server JAR files must be registered with the WebSphere Information Integrator federated database using the DB2 sqlj.install_jar stored procedure. For a list of the JAR files that need to be registered, refer to the wrapper documentation.

If WebSphere Information Integrator and WebSphere Information Integrator Content Edition are installed on different servers running different operating systems, JAR files must be copied and registered for the wrapper to function properly.
 
Solution
Copy and register the required WebSphere Information Integrator Content Edition JAR files and application server JAR files from the server on which WebSphere Information Integrator Content Edition is installed to the server on which the WebSphere Information Integrator federated database is located. Even if these two servers are running different operating systems, no extra steps are required.
