Downloading AF/Operator and OMEGACENTER/Gateway products

Resolving The Problem

Here is a link to where you can download the latest version of the AF/Operator and OMEGACENTER/Gateway products.

You need an IBM Userid/Password. If you don't have one, you can request one right there. When you get in, you will see all the products that you are licensed for (based upon your customer number). Check AF/Operator, OMEGACENTER/Gateway or whatever else you need.

Then you get to the Downloads page. Make sure you check "eDelivery User's Guide". Those are the instructions. It is recommended that you print them to use as you go. It is not difficult, but there are a lot of steps.

You'll first need to download the new ICAT, then download the AF/Operator (or OMEGACENTER/Gateway) product, then lastly the AF/Operator Service Support (maintenance).
Also note that there are a large number of PTFs that are not included there. After installing the downloaded Service Support, it is recommended that you go to ShopZSeries and request all current
PTFs for the AKOG340 and AKAO340 FMIDs.

These instructions are just for the electronic download and FTP to the mainframe. Once you complete all the steps, you still need to go into ICAT, Option 3, and "Install the Products".

Also note that the most current version listed is 3.4.1. V3.4.1 is the same product as V3.4.0 (i.e same FMID, same PTFs, same documentation, etc). Therefore, if you are already running V3.4.0 you do not need to download and upgrade to V 3.4.1.
