UID(0) authorization for OMEGAMON

Question & Answer

Question

Is UID(0) authorization required for OMEGAMON products?

Answer

For some install jobs and to gather certain kinds of data, superuser authority is needed by the job or started task.  This level of authority is equivalent to root authority (UID=0). Alternatively, the started task may be given read access to BPX.SUPERUSER. Refer to the documentation for the specific OMEGAMON product to see what functions or features require this level of authority.  See the documentation for your security system for details on how to give read access.
