MUSTGATHER for ITCAMfWAS 6.1 Managing Server, Data Collector, and TEMA

Use the following table to determine what documentation should be collected based on the problem that is occurring.

Abbreviations and Definitions:

Collecting Managing Server (MS) Data

The following script collects system info, ITCAM doc, and WAS doc.
Note: The ID under which the script is run must have read access to the ITCAM and WAS files and directories.

** Windows ( must be run in a Korn Shell )

Location	<MS_HOME>/bin/MS_Gather_Data.sh
Usage	cd <MS_HOME>/bin ./MS_Gather_Data.sh [PMR] [MS_WAS_HOME] [APPSVR]
Example	./MS_Gather_Data.sh 70023.900.000 /dev/fs/C/PROGRA~1/WS/AppServer/profiles/AppSvr01 server1
Output	<MS_HOME>/70023.900.000.*.tar.gz

** UNIX and Linux

Location	<MS_HOME>/bin/MS_Gather_Data.sh
Usage	cd <MS_HOME>/bin ./MS_Gather_Data.sh [PMR] [MS_WAS_HOME] [APPSVR]
Example	./MS_Gather_Data.sh 70023.900.000 /opt/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSvr01 server1
Output	<MS_HOME>/70023.900.000.*.tar.gz

Collecting Data Collector (DC) Data

The following scripts collect system info, ITCAM doc, and WAS doc.
Note: The ID under which the script is run must have read access to the ITCAM and WAS files and directories.

** Windows

Location	<DC_HOME>\itcamdc\bin\cyn_collector.cmd
Usage	cd <DC_HOME>\itcamdc\bin WAS doc collected for one JVM: cyn_collector.cmd -s <AppSvr> WAS doc collected for all JVMs: cyn_collector.cmd -a WAS doc not collected for JVMs: cyn_collector.cmd
Output	Output of cyn_collector.cmd will advise where the jar file is created (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\ Temp\1\CYN\host_name-CYNenv.jar)

** UNIX and Linux

Location	<DC_HOME>/itcamdc/bin/cyn_collector.sh
Usage	cd <DC_HOME>/itcamdc/bin WAS doc collected for one JVM: ./cyn_collector.sh -s <AppSvr> WAS doc collected for all JVMs: ./cyn_collector.sh -a WAS doc not collected for JVMs: ./cyn_collector.sh
Output	Output of cyn_collector.sh will advise where the jar file is created (e.g. /root/tmp/CYN/tivb34-CYNenv.jar)

** z/OS

Location	<DC_HOME>/itcamdc/bin/cyn_collector.sh
Usage	cd <DC_HOME>/itcamdc/bin WAS doc not collected for JVMs: ./cyn_collector.sh
Output	Output of cyn_collector.sh will advise where the tar file is created (e.g. /tmp/CYN/tivb34-CYNenv.tar)

For z/OS, WebSphere Application Server (WAS) doc has to be collected manually:

If AppServer is WAS 5.x, collect:

• <WAS_HOME>/config/cells/<cell>/nodes/<node>/servers/<appsvr>/*.xml
• Servant and Region JOBLOGs

If AppServer is WAS 6.x, collect:

• <WAS_HOME>/profiles/<prof>/config/cells/<cell>/nodes/<node>/servers/<appsvr>/*.xml
• Servant and Region JOBLOGs

Collecting Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Agent (TEMA) Data

The following commands and scripts collect the TEMA version/release info and doc.

** Windows

1. Collect yn version from TEMS, TEPS, TEMA

Command

<ITM_HOME>\InstallITM\kincinfo -d

2. Collect TEMA doc

Location	<ITM_HOME>\TMAITM6\kyncollect.cmd
Usage	cd <ITM_HOME>\TMAITM6 kyncollect.cmd
Output	%TEMP%\kyn\*.jar

**UNIX and Linux

1. Collect yn version from TEMS, TEPS, TEMA

Command

<ITM_HOME>/bin/cinfo -i

2. Collect TEMA doc

Location	<ITM_HOME>/<arch>/yn/bin/kyncollect.sh where <arch>= location that indicates the platforms (ex: sol283 for Solaris, aix513 for AIX, and hp11 for HP-UX).
Usage	cd <ITM_HOME>/<arch>/yn/bin/ ./kyncollect.sh
Output	$HOME/tmp/kyn/kyncollect-$HOSTNAME.tar.gz

** z/OS

1. Collect yn version from TEMS, TEPS, TEMA

Location

TEMA JOBLOGs for both TEMA address spaces (agent and subagent) which will include RKLVLOG

2. Collect TEMA doc

Location	/usr/lpp/itcam/TEMA/yn/bin/kyncollect.sh
Usage	cd /usr/lpp/itcam/TEMA/yn/bin ./kyncollect.sh
Output	$HOME/tmp/kyn/kyncollect-$HOSTNAME.tar.Z
