IBM Rational Agent Controller is a daemon process that enables client applications to launch host processes and interact with agents that coexist within host processes.
Rational Agent Controller, Version 8.1.2 supports the following platforms:
Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista on Intel x86 (32- bit)
Linux on Intel x86 (32- bit)
AIX (v5.2, v5.3, and 5L) 32-bit

Rational Agent Controller, Version 8.1.2 can be used to profile applications running in the following versions of IBM WebSphere Application Server:
V6.0 and service releases
V6.1 and service releases
V7.0 and service releases
(Note: Profiling applications on WebSphere Application Server, V7.0, is not supported for Rational Agent Controller V8.1.2 on AIX.)
Customers profiling applications with the following product should use Rational Agent Controller v8.1.2 to get the latest defect fixes:
Rational Application Developer v7.5.4
Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software v7.5.4
You do not need to install Rational Agent Controller if the WebSphere Application Server is installed on the same computer as your development product. However, to remotely profile your applications, you must install Rational Agent Controller on the same computer as the WebSphere Application Server where you published your applications.

Extract the contents of the compressed files to the same directory. Ensure that you preserve the directory paths for the extracted files.
