About "Lotus Quickr 8.1 i5/OS Enabling Fix for Domino 8.0.x"

Question
For IBM® i platform (i5/OS®), a Lotus® Quickr Enabling Fix is required in order to run Lotus Quickr 8.1 services for Lotus Domino® on Lotus Domino 8.0.x releases later than Domino 8.0.1.
 
Answer
To obtain the latest available fix required to run Lotus Quickr 8.1 services for Lotus Domino on a Domino 8.0.x server on i5/OS, refer to:

IBM Fix Central: http://www.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/

1. Select the following options:

    Product Family: Lotus
    Product: Lotus Quickr
    Version: 8.1.0
    Platforms: i5/OS

2. Click Continue and then sign in if necessary.

3. Select Recommended and then click Continue to display the Recommended Fix Group for Quickr 8.1 services for Lotus Domino on i5OS.

4. Select the Recommended Fix Group for download and click Continue.

    More than one fix is displayed. The 8.1-Quickr-services-Domino-i5OS-Recommended-Group includes a different server fix for each maintenance release of Domino supported by Quickr 8.1.

5. Select and download the server fix with a title that includes the level of Domino you plan to use. For example, the Quickr 8.1 enabling fix for Domino 8.0.2 contains the following text:
    Domino_8.0.2

6. Carefully follow the installation instructions in the Readme file included with the fix download. The Readme also includes a list of the problems fixed.


Notes:

  • The Quickr 8.1 enabling fix for a particular Domino release level typically includes a recent consolidated hotfix for Quickr 8.1. The enabling fix may be updated periodically to a later consolidated hotfix level.
  • More details and installation instructions are documented in the Readme file which is included with the fix download.
  • Note that the recommended fix group also includes the latest consolidated fix for the Quickr 8.1 connectors. This fix is not required but is highly recommended.
