Lotus Sametime Gateway 7.5 Service Pack 1 Installation

The following must be installed in the proper order prior to installing SP1:
  • Download Fix Pack 6.1.0.3 (select the platform first), and install it using the Update Installer.
  • Download iFix for APAR PK31203: SIP Container and SIP proxy fixes affecting all platforms, and install it using the Update Installer.
  • Download iFix for APAR PK36796: Session Initiation Protocol fails to recover.

Refer to the Lotus Sametime Gateway 7.5 Installation and Deployment Guide for more information.

Steps:
  1. Stop all Sametime Gateway servers if any are running. If you abnormally terminate a Sametime Gateway server by terminating the java process, you must manually remove the .pid file from the server, node, and Deployment Manager log directories before you install Server Pack 1. To remove a single server instance, delete the following file:

    rtcgw_profile_root/logs/RTCGWServer/RTCGWServer.pid.

To remove .pid files in a cluster environment, complete these steps:
    • On the Deployment Manager node, remove rtcgw_profile_root/logs/dmgr/dmgr.pid
    • On each node, remove rtcgw_profile_root/logs/nodeAgent/nodeAgent.pid
    • On the primary node, remove rtcgw_profile_root/logs/RTCGWServer/RTCGWServer.pid
    • On each additional node, remove rtcgw_profile_root/logs/NameOfClusterMember/NameOfClusterMember.pid

  2. Download and install, using the UpdateInstaller, the interim fix for APAR PK36796: Session Initiation Protocol fails to recover.

  3. Detach Service Pack 1 (C96RHML.EXE), which is attached below.

  4. Follow the instructions for installing Service Pack 1 that are included in the Sametime Gateway information center.

  5. Restart the Sametime Gateway servers.

Note: If you accepted WebSphere installation defaults and attempt to run the command path it will not work because the path will be C:\Program Files\.... Substitute "C:\Program Files\..." with "C:\Progra~1\..."
