Abstract

OSP-DB-OTHER-INCORROUT CHGPF CCSID parm fail and member level
ccsid not rolled back

Error Description

SEE PROBLEM SUMMARY.

Problem Summary

At V6R1, the CHGPF command does not change the
file or field CCSID values from 285 to 37, as reported by DSPFD
and DSPFFD, but the command claims to complete correctly:
DSPFD for one of these files shows
Coded character set identifier . . . . . . : CCSID 285
Then invoke:
CHGPF CCSIDPRB/ERORPF CCSID(37)
I see a successful completion message, but the file CCSID
remains at 285.

Problem Conclusion

CHGPF command CCSID paramater processing has been modified to
correctly rollback all changes if processing is unable to
complete.
