APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In the monitor model editor, the string entered for Text Value
in the Visual Model tab is truncated to 256 characters.

Local fix

  • After entering the value for the first time, immediately save
the monitor model and do not click on the field again (once you
do this, the originally entered value will be truncated).

In case you do click on the field, you can either close the
monitor model without saving, or reenter the intended value
and immediately save the model.

Problem summary

  • This problem exists in WebSphere Business Monitor development
toolkit Versions 6.2 and 7.0, and in WebSphere Integration
Developer Version 7.0 (Monitor model editor feature).

Problem conclusion

  • For Version 6.2 customers, this problem will be resolved in
WebSphere Business Monitor development toolkit V6.2 Fix Pack 4
(6.2.0.4).

For Version 7.0 customers, this problem will be resolved in
WebSphere Business Monitor development toolkit V7.0 Fix Pack 4
(7.0.0.4) and in WebSphere Integration Developer V7.0 Fix Pack
4 (7.0.0.4).
