Error description

  • The monitor model editor cannot generate the correct type for an
    event part when the associated business object is defined as an
    enumeration.

    Here is an example:

    1. In the event definition (XSD), an element is defined as an
    enumeration, for example:

     <xsd:element name="Bo1">
      <xsd:simpleType>
       <xsd:restriction base="xsd:string">
        <xsd:enumeration value="missing" />
        <xsd:enumeration value="invalid" />
        <xsd:enumeration value="exists" />
       </xsd:restriction>
      </xsd:simpleType>
     </xsd:element>

    2. Create an event part based on this object:

     <eventPart displayName="My Event Part" id="Bo1_Event_Part"
      path="cbe:CommonBaseEvent/tns:Bo1" type="tns:Bo1"></eventPart>

    The type automatically generated for this event part is Bo1,
    which is the name of the business object, not the type as it
    should be; the correct type is string, which is the base
    type of an enumeration.
