Error description

  • This PTF provides bug fixes and updates for 5697-J06 IBM
Backup and Restore Manager for z/VM 1.2.0
    .
Bug fix: BKRREST XEDIT - For the CMS file restore dialogue,
if the CMS file mode number field is blank a value of '*'
    will be assumed.
    .
Bug fix: Affects SUBMIT, RESTART and REVIEW processing.
The REXX default of "NUMERIC DIGITS 9" is insufficient for
processing very large EDEV MDISKs, resulting in a warning
message during SUBMIT, REVIEW, or RESTART processing:
    .
yyyymmdd hh:mn:ss Bad start value nnnnnnnnnn for <userid> <vdev>
    passed by VMUDQ
    .
The REXX embedded default is reset to NUMERIC DIGITS 15.
    .
Usability: BKRCATLG console processing of the CMS command is now
consistent with BKRBKUP and BKRWRKnn; all CMS commands
entered via the console interface are folded to upper case.
    .
Usability: - A new warning message (9370W) has been added:
BKRRVB9370W Default catalog filepool override is ineffect.
BKRRVB9370W BKRSYSTM CONFIG defines CatalogPool as <filepool>.
    BKRRVB9370W Job defines BKR_Catalog_Pool as <filepool>.
This change explicitly displays baseline catalog file pool
overrides via "Config BKR_Catalog_Pool" when processing an
    incremental backup job.
    .
Bug fix - Typographical error in message 9357W is corrected:
BKRRVB9357W <type> Incremental baseline job instance
<base_jobname> <base_instance> is not present in the backup
catalog. ("baseline" was misspelled as "basline" prior to
    this change.)
    .
Bug fix - Conflicting use of BKRUME repository message #9201
between BKRREST and RVB$JOB is resolved by this change.
BAKSRVR EXEC (BKRBKUP) message 9201W has been changed to 9369W.
    Messages are now displayed as:
(Client RESTORE dialogue, In BKRREST XEDIT) - BKRRES9201E
File mode must be 0-6 or *.
(BKRBKUP, during QUERY DISKPOOL response) - BKRBAK9369W
File space <filespace> is used more than once in this DISKPOOL
    definition.
    .
Bug fix - Corrects an uninitialized REXX variable trap condition
during HALT processing. Prior to this change, the BKRBKUP "HALT"
command would issue diagnostics for an unitialized variable
while invoking the DATE() function prior to termination. With
this change, BKRBKUP "HALT" processing now terminates normally
with message BKRBAK8527I BAKSRVR ended by HALT command
    from <source> <user> at mm/dd/yy hh:mn:ss.
    .
    Usability changes to BKRBKUP:
    (1) BKRBKUP now responds to commands received via SMSG
from an unauthorized user via CP MSGNOH with the text
    "Unrecognized command."
    .
    (2) The BKRBKUP "CANCEL" and "CANCEL JOB" commands now
    respond with additional information:
If a CANCEL or CANCEL JOB operation is issued fora worker or a
job which has already been cancelled, message 9371W is issued:
    BKRBAK9371W Worker <BKRWRKnn>, job <jobname> is already
    canceled and logged off.
If a CANCEL JOB command is issued, and no workers are actively
processing the specified job name, message 9372W is issued:
BKRBAK9372W No workers found for job <jobname>.
