PK53210 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
Cannot apply Web Service Client Fix Pack wf110730.20 dated Aug 17 on Linux red hat config with IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.1.0.11 and other feature pack(s) V6.1.0.11 installed.

PROBLEM SUMMARY

USERS AFFECTED:
IBM Application Client for WebSphere Application Server users of IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services Specific Enablement Pack is not installed.

RECOMMENDATION:
None

IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services GA installation skipped the install of IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services specific enablement pack when the target system has other feature pack(s)installed. When applying an IBM Application Client Web Services Fix Pack using the Update Installer, the prerequisite check failed because it does not detect the IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services specific enablement pack.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
This APAR installs the IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services Specific Enablement Pack if it is not installed by IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services GA installation. This will ensure IBM Application Client Feature Pack for Web Services installation is in the correct state.
