New Maintenance Download Wizard Now Available. The Maintenance Download Wizard will step you through a series of selection panels to identify the recommended maintenance packages for your WebSphere Application Server V6.1 environment. How critical is this fix pack? Recommended. This fix pack must be installed on top of WebSphere Application Server V6.1. Known issues with some Internet browsers Under some circumstances, particular Internet browsers may rename a downloaded IBM® WebSphere® Application Server interim fix, Fix Pack, or Refresh Pack file with a ".pak.zip" file name extension, even though the original file name only has a ".pak" extension. For details on how to address this issue, refer to the UpdateInstaller for version 6.0 or 6.1 is unable to uninstall fix due to a ".pak.zip" file extension document. Problems solved For details on problems fixed in Fix Pack 7, refer to the Fix list for V6.1 document. Known side-effects None. Change history Release date: 5 April 2007 08 May 2007:

Installation Instructions
Install Fix Pack 7 (6.1.0.7) on top of IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1.

The Update Installer is not packaged as part of the fix pack download and needs to be acquired separately. To get the Update Installer needed to install this fix pack, follow the instructions provided in Update Installer for WebSphere Application Server V6.1 releases.
