Abstract
IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.0.2 Cumulative Fix for IBM SDK, Solaris Java™ SDK and HP-UX Java SDK can be applied to any WebSphere Application Server V6.0.2 installation.

Applying this Cumulative Fix on Microsoft Windows, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris will upgrade your SDK to the latest 1.4.2 Java Technology Edition SR level available. Follow the link below to the latest SR level available:
Java SDK 1.4.2 SR13 Cumulative Fix for IBM WebSphere Application Server

This Cumulative Fix is applicable to WebSphere Application Server V6.0.2. This includes configurations where Application Server Cumulative Fixes have been installed. For more details on the role of Cumulative Fixes, refer to the Update Strategy for WebSphere Application Server V6.0 release.

Notice for Solaris users (only on Solaris SPARC):
There is a defect that prevents users from upgrading from Java SDK 1.4.2 SR3 to Java SDK 1.4.2 SR4 on Solaris. To resolve this problem refer to Interim Fix: Error when trying to install SDK Cumulative Fix or SDK Interim Fix on IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.0.2.5 or V6.0.2.7 (SDK 1.4.2 SR3), on Sun Solaris platforms

Using UpdateInstaller to apply a Cumulative Fix:
  • Use the "Install Fix Pack" option to install your cumulative fix.

  • Installing a Cumulative Fix uninstalls all Interim Fixes previously installed.

  • For silent install, use the "-fixpack" option on the command line or "fixpack=true" in a response file.

Prerequisites
  1. The minimum requirement for installation is WebSphere Application Server V6.0 Refresh Pack 2 (V6.0.2).

  2. Note that starting with Fix Pack 6.0.2.21, Update Installer is no longer packaged with the Fix Pack. Download and install IBM Update Installer 7.0 for WebSphere Software. This version of Update Installer can be used to install Fix Pack 6.0.2.21 and later versions.
