Abstract
IBM® WebSphere® Application Server V5.1.1 Cumulative Fix for IBM SDK, Solaris Java™ SDK and HP-UX Java SDK can be applied to any WebSphere Application Server V5.1.1 installation.
 
Download Description
Applying this Cumulative Fix on Microsoft® Windows®, Linux® , AIX®, HP-UX, and Solaris will upgrade your SDK to the latest 1.4.2 Java Technology Edition SR level available. Follow the link below to the latest SR level available:

5.1.1.19: Java SDK 1.4.2 SR11 Cumulative Fix for WebSphere Application Server


This Cumulative Fix is applicable to Application Server V5.1.1. This includes configurations where Application Server Cumulative Fixes have been installed. For more details on the role of Cumulative Fixes, refer to Cumulative Fix Strategy for Application Server V5.0 and V5.1 releases


For recommended Java SDK upgrade practices, refer to Java SDK Upgrade policy for WebSphere Application Server


Using UpdateInstaller to apply a Cumulative Fix:


  • Use the "Install Fix Pack" option to install your Cumulative Fix.

  • Installing a Cumulative Fix uninstalls all Interim Fixes previously installed.

  • For silent install, use the "-fixpack" option on the command line or "fixpack=true" in a response file.

Prerequisites
Install V5.1.1 Cumulative Fix for SDKs on top of WebSphere Application Server Version 5.1.1 or 5.1.1.x.

Download the latest UpdateInstaller tool (see below in the Installation Instructions section) to install V5.1.1 Cumulative Fix 1 for Java SDKs.
