Local fix

  • Enable Dynamic Cache Service under the application server

    ****************************************************************
When the JAX-WS WS-Security runtime consumes a UsernameToken
with a Nonce element, if DynaCache is not enabled on the
application server, an error like the following may occur:
    [6/26/13 9:51:55:600 CEST] 0000002a WSSConsumer E
CWWSS5514E: An exception while processing WS-Security message:
    com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.core.SoapSecurityException:
    CWWSS6521E:
The Login failed because of an exception:
    javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: null
    at
    com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.core.SoapSecurityException.format(SoapS
    ecurityException.java:137)
    at
    com.ibm.ws.wssecurity.wssapi.token.impl.CommonTokenConsumer.getS
    oapSecurityException(CommonTokenConsumer.java:586)

Problem conclusion

  • The WS-Security runtime uses DynaCache to cache the Nonce
elements from UsernameTokens. If DynaCache is not enabled,
static HashMaps are used. However, the runtime is still
using DynaCache functions for timers whether DynaCache is
    enabled or not.

The WS-Security runtime is updated to ensure that no DynaCache
functions are used when DynaCache is not enabled on the
    application server.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.8, and 8.5.5.2. Please refer to the
