PM90822: WHEN A THREAD ENDS A CELL IN THE CPOOL WITH A HEADER OF "WEBSPHERE SR CTX CPOOL" IS LEAKED

Error description

When a thread ends, a cell in the cpool with a header of
"WebSphere SR Ctx Cpool" is leaked.  The cells come from
common storage subpool 241.  This is especially noticable if
a large number of threads are created and destroyed during an
appservers lifespan.

Queue elements used to keep track of all contexts used by the
server come from a common area cell pool. A terminating thread
with a context will not remove the context from the queue.
Servers with applications that create a thread
that runs for awhile, performs an operation that requires
a context and then ends cause a cpool element to be leaked.
The severity of the leak is determined by the number of threads
that are starting and ending.
The element cpool's header is "WebSphere SR Ctx Cpool".
The dump showed the the cpool had expanded may times.

Problem conclusion

The task level resource manager was updated to remove the
queue element containing the ending thread's context
from the queue of contexts.

APAR PM90822 is currently targeted for inclusion in WebSphere
Application Server Fix Packs 7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.8, and 8.5.5.2
of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS.
