Error description
Using the WebSphere Application Server default messaging provider, which is implemented by the Service Integration Bus (SIB), the Application Server administrative console does not display the JMS resources properly when multiple targets are selected for application deployment.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the default messaging provider * * for * * IBM WebSphere Application Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Administrative console does not * * display JMS resources properly when * * multiple targets are selected for * * application deployment * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The applications that use SIBus for messaging functionality will map their JMS resource references on to the resources defined in the SIBus. After the mapping is done and the application is installed successfully, the administrative console can be used to display the list of messaging resources and the corresponding mappings by navigating to the location as follows. "Enterprise Applications > {APPLICATION_NAME} > Mapping resources for this application" The administrative console page above displays the messaging resources properly when the target mappings for the application to run is a single server or single cluster. If the application is mapped to more than one target mappings, the messaging resources are not properly displayed. For example, if the application is targeted to run on a cluster and a web server (for web modules), the messaging resources are not properly displayed. But when targetted for only the cluster, it displays the messaging resource list properly.
Problem conclusion
The defect has beed fixed as code defect and the messaging resources now display properly. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.2.
