Local fix

  • Remove the port_skip.props
    If you need to skip ports when creating servers, create a
    server with all the ports you want to skip, then disable the
    server from starting.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Using the port_skip.props file to specify ports to be
    skipped such as
    com.ibm.websphere.createservercommand.skipports=9043,9060,9090,
    9100 has resulted in all ports to be treated as used and ports
    can not be generated properly during server creation.

Problem conclusion

  • The server port generation logic has been corrected so that it
    can not generate ports properly during server creation when
    using the port_skip.props file to specify ports to be skipped.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.7 and 8.5.5.1 Please refer to the
