Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server users of * * container-managed Java Persistence API * * (JPA) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Concurrency during application start * * can result in * * ConcurrentModificationException from * * class loading. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Container-managed JPA allows persistence providers to register class transformers that intercept class loads. The JPA container maintains a list of class transformers, but the list is not thread-safe, so concurrent class loads can cause a ConcurrentModificationException.
Problem conclusion
The list of class transformers was changd to be thread-safe. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.29, 8.0.0.6, and 8.5.0.2. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
