Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Resource annotation with * * either CommonJ or AsynchBeans * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The lookup fails when a binding is * * specified for a CommonJ or * * AsynchBeans specified via the * * Resource annotation. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a binding is specified for a resource-env-ref specified via a Resource annotation, the type in the annotation or field type is not respected. This results in an exception when attempting to look up the resource.
Problem conclusion
The type is propagated even when a binding is specified. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 6.1.0.47 and 7.0.0.27. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=180&uid=swg27004980
