Error description
Use of the java beans introspector (class java.beans.Introspector) on classes loaded by archive file dynamic class loaders (for example, WarFileDynamicClassLoader and RarFileDynamicClassLoader, both subclasses of ArchiveFileDynamicClassLoader) can cause an OutOfMemory error. The memory leak occurs because of a static cache of introspected classes which is held by the java beans introspector. Because of the use of a static cache, explicit calls to a release API of the introspector must be made to avoid memory leaks. A particular usage of the introspector occurs from code for installing Connector modules. For example: at org/eclipse/jst/j2ee/commonarchivecore/internal/util/ ArchiveFileDynamicClassLoader.loadClass (ArchiveFileDynamicClassLoader.java:400) at java/lang/ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:626) at java/lang/Class.forNameImpl(Native Method) at java/lang/Class.forName(Class.java:172) at java/beans/Introspector.loadBeanInfo (Introspector.java:371) at java/beans/Introspector.getExplicitBeanInfo (Introspector.java:305) at java/beans/Introspector.getBeanInfoImpl (Introspector.java:270) at java/beans/Introspector.getBeanInfoImplAndInit (Introspector.java:389) at java/beans/Introspector.getBeanInfo(Introspector.java:171) at com/ibm/ws/management/application/J2CAppUtils .getDefinedProperties(J2CAppUtils.java:397) at com/ibm/ws/management/component/InstallRAHelper .loadBeanPropertyWithType(InstallRAHelper.java:250) at com/ibm/ws/management/component/InstallRAHelper .loadBeanProperty(InstallRAHelper.java:239)

Problem conclusion
A code update was made to release classes loaded by the archive class loader from the java beans introspector cache. The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.29, 8.0.0.6, and 8.5.0.2.
