Error description

  • When virtual member manager (VMM) is called for method
    getUsersForGroup and if a group is having nested groups in it,
    it fails with the following exception:

Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a group has a nested group in it,  *
    *                      the call for getUsersForGroup() on the  *
    *                      group fails due to                      *
    *                      IllegalArgumentException.               *

    Nested group causes a failure while fetching users from the
    group. It fails with AuthPrivilegedException caused by
    IllegalArgumentException.
    

Problem conclusion

  • VMM is now corrected and will never ask for any groups when
    called to get Users of the group.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.27, 8.0.0.6 and 8.5.0.2.  Please refer to the
