Proxy server takes a NullPointerException at initialization and
fails to start on Solaris operating systems.

Proxy server takes the following NullPointerException at
startup:

at java.util.TreeMap.compare(TreeMap.java:1188)
at java.util.TreeMap.put(TreeMap.java:531)
at java.util.TreeSet.add(TreeSet.java:255)
at
com.ibm.ws.proxy.filter.FilterManagerImpl.getFilters(FilterManag
erImpl.java:1045)
at
com.ibm.ws.proxy.filter.FilterManagerImpl.getFilters(FilterManag
erImpl.java:764)
at
com.ibm.ws.proxy.channel.http.HttpProxy.start(HttpProxy.java:317
)
The DefaultFilterWrapper's compareTo method did not properly
handle being called to compare the same object.
This prevents the Proxy server from initilizing completely.

Problem conclusion

The DefaultFilterWrapper's compareTo method was changed to
correctly handle being called to compare the same object to
itself.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.25, 8.0.0.5, and 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to
