Error description

  • When using the SDO API and the JDBC mediator in WebSphere
Application Server, if two different objects are sent in a
request with the same primary key value, the following
    ClassCastException may occur when the
    GraphChanges.collpaseUpdates method is called:

    ****************************************************************
When optimistic concurrency is enabled and two tables have the
same name for their primary keys the JDBC mediator may throw a
ClassCastException. The exception is thrown when both tables are
updated before applying the changes to the database.

Problem conclusion

  • The JDBC mediator now properly distinguishes between tables in
    the update handler.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 6.1.0.45, 7.0.0.25, 8.0.0.5 and 8.5.0.1. Please
