Error description

  • Problem:
Connection to query appservers MBean from nodeagent is taking up
to 6 to 11 mintues when other times it returns in less than 1
    second.

There is a broad query in wsadmin. Trace shows the following
    queries:
    [2/28/12 16:39:16:852 CST] 0000000d AdminServiceD > queryNames
    Entry

    WebSphere:type=AppManagement,process=nodeagent,*

And if it does not succeed, it will retry:
    [2/28/12 16:39:16:888 CST] 0000000d AdminServiceD > queryNames
    Entry
    WebSphere:type=AppManagement,*

There is no need to query again, as AppManagement only lives in
the dmgr, or in the standalone application server.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
There is a broad query on the AppManagement MBean when
connecting wsadmin to the node agent. It will retry the query
on each application aerver if the MBean query does not
return. There is no need to query the AppManagement MBean on
each application server again as the AppManagement MBean only
exists in the Deployment Manager or standalone Application
    Server.

Problem conclusion

  • This is a bug in the wsadmin initialization code and it will
not query the AppManagement MBean on each application server
repeatedly if it does not exist from the first query on the
    process.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.25, 8.0.0.4, and 8.5.0.1. Please refer to the
