APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
Migration can fail if the environment is using a multiple TCPIP stack, as migration will start on one stack and then fail if it attempts to use an alternate stack. The reason for the failure in not always obvious from the migration log. Setting the environment variable _BPXK_SETIBMOPT_TRANSPORT will prevent this failure. Adding a warning about this in the zMMT tool will alert customers to this requirement. It is included in the InfoCenter in topic Migrating a z/OS federated node, but customers may not see it during their planning.
Local fix
Add the following command to the BBOWMG3F jcl export _BPXK_SETIBMOPT_TRANSPORT=<stack.name>
