    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    This problem occurs during server startup when the J2C binder
    class is iterating through the list of datasource custom
    properties in order to apply them. There is a defect in the
    J2CBinder to make the code read a property that is not
    initialized yet, causing the NullPointerException to be thrown.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem is resolved by fixing the J2CBinder code such that
    the property is initialized before it is read.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.23. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
