Error description

  • The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Proxy is trying to route
    an incoming message to an application.
    
    The To: header contains the partition ID of the application
    server.

Problem summary

    *                  Server V7.0 and V8.0 Session Initiation     *
    *                  Protocol (SIP) Proxy.                       *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The SIP Proxy is routing an incoming    *
    *                      SIP                                     *
    *                      request to the wrong application        *
    *                      server.                                 *
    *                      It is routing based on the wrong        *
    *                      header.                                 *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The incoming SIP message contains a Route header without a
    partition id. For this particular message, the partition id is
    in the To header. This message should have been sent to a
    particular back-end application server, but instead was sent
    to a random back-end application server.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The SIP Proxy code was updated to verify that the partition id
    is in the Route header before using it to route to the back-end
    application server.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.23 and 8.0.0.4.  Please refer to the
