  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: NullPointerException is thrown trying   *
  *                      to retrieve an entity using its         *
  *                      external ID.                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Virtual Member Manager (VMM) throws a NullPointerException on
  trying to get an entity by providing its external ID. This
  exception is thrown only when URBridge is configured in VMM.
  The exception occurs because URBrdige is not able to handle
  null values for external ID.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix involved checking for null values in URBridge and
  taking necessary actions rather than throwing the exception.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 6.1.0.45, 7.0.0.23, and 8.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
