Error description

An NullPointerException might occur in
DocLitWrappedMethodMarshaller.demarshalResponse if a JAX-WS
web service response message contains a wrapper element that
has set nil to true.

A WebSphere JAX-WS client invokes a web service. That service
replies with a wrapper element that has set nil to true. A
portion of that message is detailed here:

When the code in DocLitWrappedMethodMarshaller attempts to
unwrap the nil wrapper element an exception occurs because the
wrapper object is null:

Problem conclusion

The JAX-WS code is updated to check for a null wrapperObject
before attempting to unwrap the wrapper element. If the
wrapperObject is null a log message is issued and an object
array with one null member is returned.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.23 and 8.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
