HttpServletRequest.getAttribute("javax.servlet.forward.query_str
ing") returns null when it should be returning the query string
specified after the question mark ("?") in a URL

The request dispatch forward attributes must be set and always
reflect the information in the original request even under the
situation that multiple forwards and subsequent includes are
called.  However, they are currently changed to reflect the new
request attributes on every subsequent forward.

Problem conclusion

The WebContainer code was modified to retain the original
request attributes during the dispatch forward.

A new WebContainer customer property needs to be set to enable
the behavior provided by this APAR:

com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.keeporiginalpathelements = true
(default
is false)
