    console will prompt you for save changes to master repository.
    And this should not be happening.

Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED:  All users of IBM WebSphere Application      *
    *                  Server using the adminstrative console to   *
    *                  manage Application session management.      *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The deployment.xml file of an           *
    *                      application gets changed when           *
    *                      traversing though some session          *
    *                      management panels.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The console creates the session management objects in the
    deployment.xml when traversing to child panels even if ok or
    apply is never hit.  It creates the session management object
    so that it can create the child objects that MIGHT be needed.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The console code was changed to create the session management
    object only if you hit ok or apply on any of the session
    amangement panels or childern of the session management panels
    are hit.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 6.1.0.45, 7.0.0.23, and 8.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
