*                      for the same EJB are merged rather      *

If multiple ejbBindings elements (in ibm-ejb-jar-bnd.xmi) or
multiple session or message-driven elements (in
ibm-ejb-jar-bnd.xml) are specified for the same EJB, then
the binding information is merged together with later entries
having a higher priority than earlier entries.  In previous
releases, binding information was only used from the first
element.

Problem conclusion

An option has been added that causes the EJB container to
behave as in previous releases, which is to ignore duplicate
bindings that have been specified for the same EJB.

To enable the fix in an application server process:
1. Open the administrative console.
2. Select Servers > Application servers > server_name.
3. Under Server infrastructure, select Java and Process
Management > Process Definition.
4. Under Additional properties, select Java virtual machine >
Custom properties > New.
5. In the Name entry field, type:
com.ibm.websphere.ejbcontainer.ignoreDuplicateEJBBindings
6. In the Value entry field, type: true
7. Select OK.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.23 and 8.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
