Error description

The WebAdmin GUI is using the API
getServerPerformanceSettings(String ) in wasadmin.jar to get
the property of java.compiler. This API always returns
"jitc_de" as the default value if it is not set. In fact this
value is not supported since in j9.

From Web Performance Advisor (WPA) of the WebAdmin GUI for
IBM i, the default value of java.compiler always shows jitc_de
whether WebSphere Application Server is running on classic
JDK or J9 JDK. In fact, when it is running on Classic JDK, the
default java.compiler should be jitc_de, and for J9, it should
be jitc.

Problem conclusion

For WebSphere Application Server 8.0 above, the default value
of java.compiler will be returned as jitc since it always
running on j9 on IBM i, and for WebSphere Application Server
7, when the server is running on classic JDK , the default
value will be returned as jitc_de, when it is running on J9
JDK, the defaul value will be returned as jitc.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.21 and 8.0.0.2.  Please refer to the
