    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When                                    *
    *                      com.ibm.wsspi.servlet.session.IBMSessio *
    *                      nExt.invalidateAll() is invoked,        *
    *                      there is a small chance that two        *
    *                      session manager threads will attempt    *
    *                      to invalidate the same session.         *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    The invalidateAll method is provided in the IBM extension to
    the javax.servlet.http.HttpSession interface. When
    invalidateAll is invoked, there is a small chance where two
    session manager threads try to invalidate the same session at
    the same time. If this occurs, the result is a
    java.lang.IllegalStateException on one of the threads.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A code change was introduced in session manager that will
    prevent multiple threads from invalidating the same session
    when invalidateAll is invoked.
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.23 and 8.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
