Error description

  • This is a WebSphere ESB V7.0.0.3 product, but the TAM
configuration is performed on the underlying WAS

    Steps:
    1) Global security is enabled with Standalone LDAP connected to
Tivoli Directory Server (the admin user is esbadmin)
    2) The instructions on the link
    (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v7r0/topic/com
    .ibm.websphere.base.doc/info/aes/ae/tsec_config_JACC_interface_G
UI.html) is followed to enable JACC external authorization.
    3) After the TAM configuration information is entered on the
Advanced configuration page, Admin console fails in applying the
    changes.

    Details:
The steps require that the esbadmin user be created in TAM and
    TDS
    (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v7r0/topic/com
    .ibm.websphere.base.doc/info/aes/ae/tsec_create_sec_admin.html).
However if the user is created and exists, the TAM configuration
error log shows that it fails to create it. We tried removing
the user from TAM and rerunning the configuration, this time the
configuration went further, and created the user in TAM, but
several steps later, when it wanted to do something else with
the user, it failed again with the same error that it fails to
    create the user.

Passing a PDRgyUserName to the PDUser construct
or, where the PDRgyUserName has the DN of an account that is
    TAM
enabled (has a TAM identity) will cause the PDUser constructor
to throw an exception, rather than complete normally.
