PM37842: UNABLE TO SET MULTIPLE -XDUMP PARMS USING ADMINISTRATIVE CONSOLE

Error description

If there are two or more -XDump options set where
-Xdump:system:events
is the same for these options, then only the 2nd option is
propagated to *.jvm.options file.

Ex. if you have the following specified in  genericJVMArguments
using admin console:

-Xdump:heap:none
-Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jack
-Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill

What ends up in the *.jvm.options file is:
-Xdump:heap:none
-Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill

The 2nd setting is overwritten by the 3rd because the code
considers this setting a duplicate.

The z/OS transformer code was keeping only the last similar
option.
If there are two or more -Xdump options set where
-Xdump:system:events is the same for these options, then only
the last option is
propagated to *.jvm.options file.
If you have the following specified in  genericJVMArguments
using admin console:
-Xdump:heap:none
-Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jack
-Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill
What ends up in the *.jvm.options file is:
-Xdump:heap:none
-Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill

Problem conclusion

The code has been modified to correctly handle multiple -Xdump
options.

APAR PM37842 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.41 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1.
and Fix Pack 8.0.0.1 of WebSphere Application Server V8.0.

Sysroute APAR PM37921 will be used to deliver this fix in
WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
