Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On IBM i Japanese systems with CCSID    *
*                      290 or 5035, the caret '^' symbol in    *
*                      the query string may be corrupted.      *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:  Apply fix pack 6.1.0.39 or 7.0.0.19         *
****************************************************************
The WebSphere plugin may corrupt the '^' symbol in the query
string portion of the HTTP request for certain
installed languages on the IBM i platform. The languages
affected include Japanese CCSIDs 290, 5035.

Problem conclusion

The WebSphere plugin will convert the query string from ASCII
to EBCDIC and then back to ASCII from EBCDIC, unless
the custom property "OS400ConvertQueryStringToJobCCSID" is set
to true.
If the WebSphere plugin's  custom property
"OS400ConvertQueryStringToJobCCSID" is set to true, the
previous behaviour is preserved.


The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.0.1.39 and 7.0.0.19.  Please refer to the
