Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The warning message in the * * description can be seen during server * * run. This does not appear during * * application deployment. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During processing by the EJB container, an EJB jar file is opened, closed and then opened again using the Archive.reopen(archive) method. After the reopen, a call to obtain the deployment descriptor returns the unmerged descriptor, instead of the merged one. For this module, the EJBs are defined using annotations so the unmerged descriptor contains no EJBs, but the bindings file does contain references to EJBs. This leads to the warning messages when loading the bindings file.
Problem conclusion
The unmerged deployment descriptor was returned in error due to improperly clearing some settings on the close of the EJB jar. The close process has been updated to clear those settings. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.17.
