    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Inconsistent RMF workload activity      *
    *                      report queue times are being reported   *
    *                      for inbound http requests.              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    An error was found in the determination of the WLM arrival time
    for http requests. The arrival time was subject to including
    network delays as the timestamp was being captured after
    reading the first inbound fragment and not being updated if
    multiple inbound fragments were received prior to queuing the
    work to WLM. This would result in incorrect and elongated queue
    times.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The arrival time was changed to use the timestamp from the
    last inbound fragment received prior to queuing the request to
    WLM. This will reflect a more accurate queue time. This may
    result in a reduced queue time reported when multiple http
    inbound request fragments are received.
    
    APAR PM30324 is currently targeted for inclusion in
    Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.37 WebSphere
    Application Server V6.1
