Error description
We need to change the Web services WSWS4121E message from a warning to a debug message.
Local fix
Not needed.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All administrators of IBM WebSphere * * Application Server V7.0 JAX-RPC applications* **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Allow the WSWS4121E message to only * * log when debug level trace is enabled * * for JAX-RPC applications. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Install a fix pack that contains this APAR. * **************************************************************** Allow the administrator to set a property so the WSWS4121E error message will only be displayed at the debug level of trace for JAX-RPC applications.
Problem conclusion
There are scenarios where WSWS4121E is a warning about the missing endpoint is not a problem and the applications works as expected. This is a warning that should be investigated during development. Once these warnings are determined to not affect the application, the warning messages can be changed to debug level messages to reduce warnings in the log files. This change is controlled by the following JVM property: com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.transport.http.ignoreWSWS4121E If that property is set to "true", WSWS4121E messages will only be logged when the trace level is debug. The default value is false. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.17.
