Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application *
    * Server V7.0 and the Feature Pack for *
    * Service Component Architecture (SCA) *
    * creating Business Level applications *
    *                  (BLA's) using the administrative console.   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SCA assets can only be mappped to one *
    * target. An error is displayed on the *
    * console when more than one target is *
    *                      mapped.                                 *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Map only one target when adding an SCA *
    *                  asset to a BLA.                             *
    ****************************************************************
    The BLA code was not expecting an error mapping targets and
    therefor did not display the error that was returned from SCA
    when an asset was mapped to multiple targets.

Problem conclusion

  • The BLA code will handle the error that SCA returns and
    display it on the console. The user will then be able to
    change their target mappings to map to only one target.
