= DN

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EntityNotFound exception is thrown      *
*                      when searching for a user where the     *
*                      search expression contains the          *
*                      distinguish name of the user            *

When searching for a user (present in an LDAP repository or
Database repository) such that the search expression contains
the distinguish name of the user as principalName, an
EntityNotFound exception is thrown. The exception occurs
because the user is first searched in the file registry. When
an entry for the user is not found in the file registry the
exception is thrown.

Problem conclusion

The fix involved handling the entityNotFound exception so that
the search function can continue to search for the user in
other repositories.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 6.1.0.35 and 7.1.0.15.  Please refer to the
